Articles to reflect on my blog.

Laptops replace textbooks in Louisiana school district.

I think laptops in the classroom are a wonderful idea. It would be easier for the student and teacher alike. For homework, I think it would simplify it, make it quicker and easier. Just think, the excuse, "My dog ate my homework" would be a thing of the past.

Laptops would also, I think, make it more fun for the students to want to learn. Let's face it, computers are here to stay at home and at schools.

Video system help create multimedia curriculum.

This is actually old technology. I helped install a video classroom for USD #443 here in Dodge City about 15 years ago when I worked for a cable TV company. Although I'm not sure if it was used in a context as is available now, but it was similar to what this article wa talking about. I believe it was more for web com classrooms. Today's technology would be fun and exciting to use this in all classrooms.

Myspace enforcer patrols virtual street to keep kids safe.

I have never played with myspace, but what I've read and heard about it, I think they need to police the site more carefully and pay attention to what young kids of today are posting and talking about.
